'Coloring' Texture

Students will start with a standard coloring sheet, I removed some details with white out so the slate is a little more 'blank' then it otherwise would have been.

Students will add implied textures, patterns, new items, and value to the page until the page looks like a complete scene. Points for realism with grading from best to worst in class. This exercise will teach students how valuable texture and value are to a composition.
